The Create Punch flow allows managers to correct Entry, Breaks, and Exit punches when an employee forgot to punch or recorded the wrong type.
This reduces issues during payroll closing and keeps punch history consistent for audits and reports.
Below is the description of each item shown in the request.
Main actions
Open the adjustment request
Go to Attendance in the side menu.
Click the Punch log tab.
Click any Pending punch adjustment request.
The request details open in a side panel.
Date and time information
The selected date for the adjustment.
The time set for the punch being corrected.
Punch type and location
Punch type
Displays the selected category:
Entry
Break Start
Break End
Exit
Location
Shows the location selected when the punch was created.
Adjustment reason
Reason
Displays why the request was created.
Options available:
Early leave
Late arrival
Forgot to punch
Technical problems
Other
When selected, a text field opens to explain the reason.
Request date
Shows the date and time the request was submitted.
Name of the employee who requested the adjustment.
Tips or Troubleshooting
The system blocks confirmation if Employee, Time, or Reason is missing.
If the location list is empty, check if there are active locations under Locations.
If the wrong punch type is selected, worked hours and breaks may be calculated incorrectly.
