How do I setup the hours of a Night Shift to be counted towards the day it was finished?

In night shifts, the shift starts on one day and ends on the following day.

With this configuration, it is possible to apply all worked hours to the shift end day, instead of the start day.

New option available

It is now possible to configure the schedule so that the calculation is applied to the next day, based on the planned clock-out time.

A new field allows you to define whether the hour calculation should be applied to:

• Current day (default behavior)

• Next day (shift end day)

After creating a Schedule, the new option will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Just enable it.

When enabled, it becomes possible to:

• Associate punches with the shift end day.

• Create punch requests for the previous day, which will be allocated to the current shift.

• Work with fixed schedules or shift schedules that cross midnight.

Operating rules

• If there is at least one planned time on the next day, the hours will be applied to the end day.

• For adjustment requests: it is possible to register punches from the previous day
  (e.g.: register a punch on 07/25 for the 07/26 shift).

• The lock period considers the allocated day, not the punch day.

Common questions

What if the employee changes from a schedule with this rule to another without it?
→ The system adjusts the last calculation day to maintain consistency.
