Tablets running the Kiosk app need a unique company token to connect to your Day.io account.
The process starts in the Attendance module by enabling tablet punches and generating the token. After registering the device in the mobile app, you can fine‑tune its mode and other settings via Kiosk Settings.

- In the Day.io Admin panel, open Attendance and click the Settings gear in the upper‑right corner.
- Under Allow employees to punch using, tick Tablet. This enables kiosk punches.

- Once the tablet shows as registered, go to Company Settings > Kiosk Settings and click the device name to edit its configuration.

- Adjust additional options such as:
- Location: define which location the kiosk belongs to.
- Custom location: uses the device's current GPS location at the time of registration, instead of the configured location.

- Filter by location: option to recognize only employees who have access to the location selected for the tablet.
- Liveness detection: enhance image capture security using Liveness Detection technology—works on tablets with at least a 5MP camera.
- Voice activation – Touch less: use Voice Command to punch without touching the device.
- Automatic classification (REP mode): it involves using the tablet as a punch device, specifically, with automatic selection of the punch type. The employee simply records their time without needing to select whether it is an entry, a break, or an exit.
- Sync biometric registration images to Kiosk: allows the images to be displayed to the employee during facial recognition.
- Allow break punches: if this option is disabled, employees will not be able to punch for breaks.
