The Overtime request allows employees to work beyond their scheduled hours or on a day without a planned schedule.
Configuring this request type ensures that employees can select it when submitting a request and that managers can review these extra hours.
Key actions or configuration
- Access request settings
- From the side menu, go to Absence & Vacation.
- On the requests list page, click Settings in the upper right corner.
- Toggle the button next to the Overtime option to enable this category so it appears in the New request panel.
- Define subcategories
- Two options appear: Planned day and Non‑planned day.
- Planned day is used when the employee extends their shift on a day with an assigned schedule.
- Non‑planned day is used when extra hours occur on a day with no schedule.
- Configure each subcategory. For each one, there are options to enable comments, define which permissions can make this request, and how the Approval flow will work.
- Specifically for the Non‑planned day, there is the option to include or not the start and end of the day in the request, allowing you to include the exact time of the overtime.
