Subsidiaries represent your company’s units or offices, each with its own registration.
Creating subsidiaries lets you separate employees by location and provides more accurate reports.
They are usually defined when you implement Day.io and may be updated as the company grows.
Key actions or configuration
- Create a new subsidiary
- Go to Company Structure > Subsidiaries.
- Click New Subsidiary.
- In Code, enter an internal code (e.g.
001). - In Name, enter the subsidiary name.
- In CNPJ, enter the subsidiary’s tax ID.
- Click Add to save.

- Edit or remove an existing subsidiary
- In the same page, hover the cursor on the desired row.
- Use Edit to change Code, Name or ID and click Save.
- Use the Delete option to remove the subsidiary; it is suggested to only remove a subsidiary if no employees are linked to it.
- Assign a subsidiary to an employee
- Navigate to People and find the employee.
- Open the profile and go to Details > Employee details.
- In the Subsidiary field, select the subsidiary from the list.
- Click Save.
