Day.io’s Electronic Signature feature lets employees digitally sign their monthly timesheets.
Thanks to MP 938/2020, electronic signatures have legal validity in Brazil.
Managers send a signature request, and employees receive a notification to review and sign the document.
The signature can be completed via the Day.io mobile app or through a link sent by email.
Receive the signature request
Once the manager creates a request, the employee receives a notification in the Profile menu of the app and an email with a signing link.
Sign using the mobile app
Open the Day.io app and go to the Profile menu; tap the notification to view available reports.
Select the report for the relevant period.
Download the PDF and verify all punches.
Tap SIGN REPORT to sign electronically. The manager is notified instantly.
Afterwards, download the signed PDF containing a validation token.
Sign using the computer
Open the email and click Sign report.
A web page will list available reports.
Choose the report, review the data and click Sign report.
Then download your signed copy.

App access – ensure you are logged into the app to receive notifications.
Inactive employees – inactive employees receive requests by email only.
