Fixed hours allow companies to compensate employees who work in specific schedules, for example unusual hours, night shifts, or schedules that require an additional payment per worked day.
This configuration is done directly in the Schedule and defines a daily amount of additional hours.
After it is saved, this amount is considered for the employees assigned to the schedule and should be multiplied by the worked days in the period.
Key actions or configuration
1. Access Schedules
- In the side menu, go to Schedules.
- Open the schedule that should receive the daily compensation or create a new one.
- Inside the schedule, select the Special Rules tab.
- Find the Fixed hours option and enable the toggle.
- This means the compensation will be applied per day actually worked, and not only because the employee is assigned to the schedule.

- Click Save to save the rule. Select the start date for the compensation to take effect.

Tips or troubleshooting
If the Daily hours field is disabled, confirm that the Fixed hours toggle is enabled.
If the schedule does not have employees, the rule can still be configured, but it will only take effect when employees are assigned to that schedule and work in it.
To validate the result, compare the configured value with the worked days in the period.
Best practices
Use clear names for schedules that have fixed compensation, such as “Night shift” or “Special shift”.
Before saving, confirm whether the rule should apply to all employees assigned to the schedule.
Review the configuration whenever the payment policy or compensation amount changes.
