Employees can view their published Shifts directly in the Day.io app, receive notifications when new shifts are posted and check details of each shift.
This replaces printed schedules and ensures everyone knows where and when they should work. The feature is available to all app users that are included on plan with Shifts.

Receive Shifts notifications
- When your team publishes a new schedule, you will receive notifications by email and push on your phone.
- The email notification includes a Download schedule button that lets you download a PDF of the week.
- Push notifications say “New schedule available.” Tapping the notification opens the app directly on the Shifts screen.

Open Shifts in the app
- Log in to the Day.io app with your registered phone number. If this is your first access, follow the first‑access instructions.
- Tap Shifts in the bottom‑left navigation bar.
- To choose a different week, swipe left or right on the top bar or tap the displayed date range and select the week from the calendar.

View shift details
- On the chosen week, shifts are listed by day. Tap a shift to view its details.
- The detail screen shows: Area, Start and end time, Shift duration, Break duration, Assigned shift schedule, Location, Address and Comments (if any).
- Use the X button to return to the list of schedules.
Tips or troubleshooting
- Make sure notifications are enabled on your phone and that you have the latest version of the app.
- If the Shifts tab is missing, check with your supervisor to confirm that a schedule has been published for you.

- Check your schedules regularly to stay updated.
- Use the calendar to quickly jump to future or past weeks.
- Verify the details (location, times) before your shift and report any discrepancies.
