Alerts help identify violations in shift plans, such as exceeding weekly hours or scheduling work on holidays.
Administrators can configure alerts as visual (yellow) or blocking (red).
Blocking alerts prevent a schedule from being published until the conflict is resolved.
Key actions or configuration
- Open the schedule
- Go to Configure > Schedules and select the desired schedule, you can identify it by the title below the Schedule Name (it will be as Shift).
- Or, click the gear icon (Settings) in the upper-right corner of the Shifts page to open the settings tab.
- Configure alerts
- Open the Alerts tab.
- Toggle each alert on to enable it and tick the Blocking column if you want to block publication when the condition occurs.
- Available alerts include:
- Weekly contracted hours – shows an alert when planned hours exceed the employee’s contracted weekly hours.
- Cross shifts interval – triggers when there are fewer than 11 hours between two shifts for the same employee.
- Working on holidays – warns when a shift is scheduled on a day marked as a holiday.
- Working during night shifts – warns when a shift is scheduled during the night period defined in the employee’s pay policy.
- Click Save after configuring; the changes apply immediately.
- Monitor alerts
- When planning shifts, alerts appear in yellow (visual) or red (blocking) next to the employee’s name or in the shift cell.
- Click the “!” icon in the upper‑right corner of the screen to open the full list of alerts. Alerts are grouped by type and show their colour (visual or blocking).
- If blocking alerts exist, a message indicates the number of conflicts; the schedule cannot be published until they are resolved.
- When planning shifts, alerts appear in yellow (visual) or red (blocking) next to the employee’s name or in the shift cell.
Tips or troubleshooting
- Adjust shifts or redistribute hours among employees to remove red alerts before publishing.
- Remember that holidays come from the Holidays groups; create complete holiday groups so the holiday alert identifies days correctly.
- If the cross‑shift alert keeps firing, review the start and end times of your shifts.
Best practices
- Use alerts as a preventative tool; enable all of them and mark only the most critical ones as blocking.
- Review alerts before publishing; small adjustments can avoid rework and employee confusion.
- Keep night‑shift policies and contracted hours up to date in employees’ profiles.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. A schedule cannot be published while a blocking alert exists. - Where do I adjust the minimum interval (11 hours) between shifts?
The interval is fixed by the Brazilian regulation and cannot be changed; ensure your shifts include at least 11 hours between them. - Are alerts available in all plans?
No. Alerts are available only in plans that include Attendance + Shift Management.
