The night shift differential is an extra percentage paid to employees working within defined night hours.
To have the system calculate this automatically, you must enable the feature in a Pay Policy group and specify the time interval and percentage.
This setup is performed by users with access to the Pay Policies module.
Access the pay policy group
From the side menu, select Pay Policies.
Open the group you want to edit or click New Policy to make a new one.
Open the Hours Distribution tab
Inside the group, select the Hours Distribution tab.
Activate the night shift option
Toggle Activate night shift to enable the differential.
Set the Start time (e.g., 22:00) and End time (e.g., 05:00).
Enter the Percentage % that will be added to night hours.
Optionally, enable Schedules started inside the above period of time must be considered entirely as night shift to count the entire shift.
Save the changes
Click Save to apply.
Assign employees to the group
Under the Employees tab, add the employees who should receive the night differential.
