Analytics Day.io: How to Harvest Relevant Data for My Business?

Data plays a crucial role for companies in various sectors, considered valuable assets that can drive success and internal management. Here are some highlights on the importance of Time Control data for a company in terms of People Management:

1. Decision-Making: Data provides essential information that helps business leaders make strategic decisions. With accurate and relevant data, you can evaluate scenarios, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.

2. Operational Efficiency: Using data to optimize internal processes can result in greater operational efficiency. This includes empowering your internal Data team to generate strategic numbers for the business more quickly.

3. Employee Knowledge: Data analysis allows your company to better understand the work behavior of your employees - providing insights for predictive actions related to Overtime and Extra Hours control, for example.

Step 1. Verify your permission

To use this function, it is necessary to check if you have the required permission for access and if this product is available for your company. Day.io Analytics is available for people with Administrator access.

Step 2. Access the lateral menu Dashboards (change name)

Hover over the option to open the window with macro types of data organized by theme: Overtime, Bank Hours, Absences, Delays and Early Departures, Interjourneys, and Irregularities.

Select one of the options you want to view data and proceed.

Step 3. View the charts

When accessing a theme type, you will see charts suggested by Day.io for the best accommodation of information. There are charts displaying totals and ordered by groups.

Step 4. Want to detail information? Use Explore

Next to each chart, you can click on the three dots icon so that you can explore the data - using this function, you can filter, organize, and change the format of the layout as you wish.

Click on "Explore" to expand the page:

When opened, you can choose analysis dimensions and overlay filters to group information:

Column of variables: choose an entity to view the data from a new perspective. For example: click on the Department dimension to see the total overtime for the month broken down by departments of the company. There are groupings of Dimension (groups or date), Measures (payroll events), and Comparisons (compare previous periods). All entities added will appear in the show column (2).

Filters & Show: see which dimensions, measures, and comparisons are being used in this chart. Use the (+) button to add entities.

Chart Type: Day.io suggests visualization models, but you can change the format to charts or tables as needed.

Step 5. Download it

When the structure is ready, download the data in XLXS, TSV, CSV, and JSON formats. The exported data will be the numbers that make up the report.
